Hourly on W2: $20
Hourly on Stipends: $47.64
Weekly Taxable: $720
Weekly Non-Taxable: $1715
Weekly Gross: $2435

Job Summary:
The ER Registered Nurse provides immediate and effective care to patients of all ages presenting with a wide variety of acute illnesses, injuries, and emergencies. Working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, the ER nurse rapidly assesses patient needs, prioritizes care, and collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver timely and safe treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform rapid triage and ongoing assessment of patients presenting to the emergency department.

Administer medications, IV fluids, and emergency interventions as ordered by physicians.

Initiate and maintain IV access, wound care, catheterization, splinting, and other bedside procedures.

Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond to emergent situations, including codes.

Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other clinical staff.

Provide patient and family education, emotional support, and discharge planning.

Operate and troubleshoot medical equipment such as cardiac monitors, defibrillators, and EKG machines.

Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR).

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state/federal regulations, and infection control standards.

Requirements:
Licensure & Certifications:

Current RN license in practicing state (or compact license where applicable)

BLS – Basic Life Support (AHA)

ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (AHA)

PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support (may be required based on facility)

NIHSS – National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (often required)

TNCC or ENPC – Preferred or required by some hospitals

Experience:

Minimum of 1–2 years of recent Emergency Room experience

Trauma experience preferred (depending on facility)
