Overview The Luau Show Stage Manager will work under the direction of the Director of Luau Operations, responsible for hiring, coordinating, coaching, supervising, and directing the Luau Show staff. This role involves overseeing daily operations in conjunction with the F&B Luau Managers, maintaining performance standards, and ensuring the quality of the Luau Show. The manager will also be responsible for preserving the art and culture of Hawaiian/Polynesian songs and dances, sharing the Aloha Spirit, and providing excellent guest service. Responsibilities These duties include but are not limited to the following: Assist the Director of Luau Operations, F&B Luau Manager, Light & Sound Manager/Technician, performers, and musicians. Oversee daily operations of the Luau Show. Conduct pre-shift and post-shift meetings with staff. Take nightly show notes and report discrepancies for improvements. Hire, manage, supervise, and train all personnel involved in the Luau Show. Coach, counsel, and administer disciplinary actions as needed. Schedule work shifts for all Luau Show personnel. Manage Time and Attendance in Dayforce. Coordinate rehearsals and participate in auditions. Ensure the execution of all show components. Coordinate with Line Captains for shift duties. Manage costume washing and inventory records. Monitor loss prevention and ensure equipment and costumes are maintained. Report issues and prepare timely reports. Track expenses to stay within budget. Approach guest situations with a guest-first mindset, resolving complaints promptly. Ensure compliance with laws, health, sanitation, and hotel policies. Attend and participate in meetings and training. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Essential Job Requirements: Proven management/supervision experience in show production. Knowledge of Hawaiian/Polynesian dance and songs. High dance skill level for performance as needed. Ability to work with the Director and staff collaboratively. Respectful and honest interaction with colleagues and guests. Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute rehearsals, auditions, and training. Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills. Proficiency in English, both verbal and written. Basic computer skills, including MS Office. Attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to learn and perform various show positions. Compliance with hotel standards, confidentiality, and policies.
