Job Description

Join our compassionate and collaborative team as a Behavioral Health Technician II, where you will play a vital role in providing direct and supportive care to clients/patients. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges. Your contributions will help foster a safe and therapeutic environment for our clients/patients, promoting their recovery and well-being. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities, monitoring health, intervening in crises, and facilitating therapeutic services. You will work closely with a treatment team to ensure that each client/patient receives the support they need to thrive. Key Responsibilities: Admit, supervise, monitor, transfer, and discharge clients/patients. Ensure monitoring of vital signs and signs of withdrawal, determining the need for medical intervention when critical symptoms present. Facilitate therapeutic services under appropriate supervision, including individual and group sessions. Document all services provided in accordance with State Regulatory/CARF/agency standards. Participate as an active member of the treatment team, helping to identify client strengths and needs. Assist clients in performing daily activities and encourage positive social interactions. Maintain a safe and clean environment by observing general rules of good housekeeping. Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications: High School education OR equivalent and two (2) years of responsible employment. Experience in Human Services or a related field preferred. Hold a Certificate from the Missouri Credentialing Board in one (1) or both of the following: Certified Peer Specialist and/or Missouri Associate Alcohol Drug Counselor. Additional Qualifications: Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance. First Aid certification within three (3) months of beginning employment. Obtain CPR certification within three (3) months of beginning employment. Physical Requirements: Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift.
